Kali is based on Debian , that’s why I titled kali(debian ) anyway , if you are trying to use whether new network card or trying to connect to physical network this problem happens after looking at first time it’s simply looks like network manager not getting new interface ,
well, you can simply solve that by following steps
Steps
1 : Open _** /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf** _File in any text editor ( i am using nano )
2 : change managed=false to managed=true
3 : restart network manager /etc/init.d/network-manager restart
Done
now verify its working
