Dropbox : Photo Story 3

Posted on  6/21/2012

Dropbox have rolled out the third part of the photos story where you can automatically upload all the photos and videos you take with your iPhone or iPad to Dropbox!

Don’t worry about losing those once-in-a-lifetime shots, no matter what happens to your iPhone. Get the latest Dropbox app for iOS and simply turn on the camera upload feature. When you open the app, photos and videos from your iPhone or iPad are saved to Dropbox at their original size and quality in a private Camera Uploads folder. It’s easy to flip through all your automatically uploaded photos and videos in the Photos section of the Dropbox website. You can decide whether to use your data plan or Wi-Fi only, and pictures will simply upload while the app’s running! Plus, Dropbox won’t kill your battery if you’re low on power.

With this release, your iPhone, Android, and digital cameras can finally all work together. It’s easy to bring your photos and videos together in one place. And once your photos are in Dropbox, it’s super easy to share them with your friends and family using a shared folder or a link!

In case you missed it, you don’t need to worry about this feature using all your Dropbox space — they’ll give you an extra 500 MB for free for your first automatic upload from a camera, phone or tablet! The more photos and videos you upload this way, the more free space they’ll give you (up to a total of 3 GB per Dropbox account)!
